Information and Reference of illegal stamps for Mozambique made in 2009

In 2009 Stamperija obtains the contract to print stamps for Mozambique again. In doing so and in maintaining use of Stamperija as their agent, Mozambique has doomed themselves into being an unviable country to collect to present times in 2022. The count of stamps produced in the name of Mozambique for this year jumps to 387!

As I stated on the introduction, the WNS system is short on what is real. Unfortunately they stopped listing the stamps of Mozambique in 2006 and have nothing from that time forward.

I have found the Colnect online catalog to be very helpful. Sadly because of the glut of abusive issues it is a pain to go through all the pages.

I have found the Stampworld.com Catalog to be very helpful as well but there are problems. Again, because of the abuse many of the pages are extremely long. They are listing some of the illegal stamps there as if they are ok simply because one rouge catalog continues to list them. The 2004 (which they list as a 2006) EUROPA "issue" for one.

Again, I say the major catalogs should stick with the rules they portray in not listing abusive, overproduced stamps that have no evidence of postal usage. Sadly in the recent years they are breaking their own rules and ethics by listing them. At the rate Stamperija is going, Scott catalog will have to add another catalog just to cover them! Shame on the editors for bowing down to abusive stamp agencies. More than likely their are some "bad apples" within the editing departments who are getting kickbacks for getting the garbage listed!

Many of the following illegal stamps can be found as imperforates and as color proof sets as well. Many exist on fake First Day Covers too.
Most times now (2022) the souvenir sheet sets and sheetlet sets are sold individually. Many times the stamps have been removed from the sheetlets and souvenir sheets. All of these "tactics" are used to avoid detection by experts and savvy collectors.

Sellers that call these "private", "locals", "Cinderella's", "unauthorized" are deceiving you. They are illegal stamps produced by a stamp dealer that is bent on ripping you off! Some sellers state "we offer them because they are on the market". Well how about you use a different dealer because that seller is "on the market"? If the stamp societies, auction sites and all other venues kicked these sellers off of their sites then they would have to comply or lose their ability to sell anything.

The following images are free for the use of all to use to alert the public to them. If anyone wants to make a public list of users on eBay, Delcampe and elsewhere who are selling these issues....fine by me since the UPU, PWMO and others appear to have given up or have not been updated in years.

If you have purchased any of these stamps from a dealer or if that dealer offers them, you should avoid that dealer! You will only be supporting illegal stamp makers who are only ripping you off.

In 2009 Mr. Montero has another illegal souvenir sheet made with his "series" on the topic of "History of the XXI Century" and one on the topic of "The Year of Astronomy". Also illegal production of varieties of Stamperija "issues" begins again. None of them are listed in any catalog and are recommended to avoid like the plague!

ILLEGAL DELUXE SOUVENIR SHEETS

The following counterfeit deluxe souvenir sheet sets have been found being sold by the British counterfeit producer and his buddies. They are not listed in any catalog. They are reproductions of "issues" made by Stamperija. Is Stamperija in collaboration with the counterfeiter? How did the British counterfeiter obtain the printing materials to make them? On the Avion Stamp website they are "disclaimed" as "privately produced". Only the British counterfeit producer and his "crew" are selling them and a few other unscrupulous dealers associated with them.

Only the basic souvenir sheet of six and the normal souvenir sheets of one were authorized by Mozambique. You will find these same criminal dealers offering unauthorized color proof sets of the deluxe sheets as well.

The WWF issue produced by Stamperija is interesting because the year inscribed is 2009 yet it is claimed by the catalogs to be issued on January 30, 2010. The catalogs are almost correct or correct. There are FDC's that say it is January 31, 2010. then other FDC's that say it is January 30, 2010. This is yet more confusion caused by an agency with no strict security measures and rules. The problem with this set though is the year inscribed on the stamps confuses collectors and dealers, so that many list them as a 2009 issue. Therefore I am posting this on the 2009 page.

None of them ever saw the land of Mozambique. All were/are distributed by Stamperija directly so you will not find them on any commercial covers. They are abusive stamps made by an agency to rip your money from you for personal profits to the owner only. A minimal amount of money was given to Mozambique to authorize them.

The set is listed as Scott number 1930 and Michel number 3658-3661. It appears all references only show the one Scott catalog number so I cannot reference any differences between the following sheets. The Groth Catalog lists all three of the following only in the imperforate sections of the catalog. All are numbered 451.

This sheet is vaguely referenced by dealers only as Scott 1930. It is actually 1930 as referenced in Scott catalog although nothing about imperforate.



Now the problem is what is authorized and what is not. There are numerous "varieties" of the issue out there. We have imperforate souvenir sheets that are "numbered" as if from a limited edition.

We can see this is not limited as the image of the souvenir sheet without numbers above proves.



We have another set of deluxe sheets supposedly numbered and limited as well. The problem is there are numerous sellers of it past and present who all show the same deluxe sheets with the same number 0144 on them! Were they even authorized? Again, only sold by known counterfeit dealers.

We have the set of deluxe souvenir sheets noted as privately produced on the Avion website and therefore verified as illegal. I leave the Delcampe frame on so you can see again, who is behind this.

We have these bogus "limited" UV cardboard sets. Certainly not authorized. Prove authorization by Mozambique and I will change the status. Being sold by the no good Russian dealer mapka666. The junk pile "leftovers" dealer of a ton of illegal stamp material.

There are die proofs, different versions of deluxe sheets and "errors" of perforation out there. Just an obvious plan to rip you off.

We can see by the massive glut of this issue that they are not worth the paper they are printed on. The prices asked for this garbage exceeds any return investment. Once again we see collaboration between Stamperija and the dark side of philately.

In 2010 Stamperija goes ballistic in abusive production of "issues" in the name of Mozambique. We find more unauthorized deluxe souvenir sheet sets are produced along with some more Montero "History of the XXI Century" counterfeits are made.
