Information and Reference of illegal stamps for Mozambique made in 2010

In 2010 Stamperija ramps up printing stamps for Mozambique again. The count of stamps produced in the name of Mozambique for this year jumps to 781!

As I stated on the introduction, the WNS system is short on what is real. Unfortunately they stopped listing the stamps of Mozambique in 2006 and have nothing from that time forward.

I have found the Colnect online catalog to be very helpful. Sadly because of the glut of abusive issues it is a pain to go through all the pages.

I have found the Stampworld.com Catalog to be very helpful as well but there are problems. Again, because of the abuse many of the pages are extremely long. They are listing some of the illegal stamps there as if they are ok simply because one rouge catalog continues to list them. The 2004 (which they list as a 2006) EUROPA "issue" for one.

Again, I say the major catalogs should stick with the rules they portray in not listing abusive, overproduced stamps that have no evidence of postal usage. Sadly in the recent years they are breaking their own rules and ethics by listing them. At the rate Stamperija is going, Scott catalog will have to add another catalog just to cover them! Shame on the editors for bowing down to abusive stamp agencies. More than likely their are some "bad apples" within the editing departments who are getting kickbacks for getting the garbage listed!

Many of the following illegal stamps can be found as imperforates and as color proof sets as well. Many exist on fake First Day Covers too.
Most times now (2022) the souvenir sheet sets and sheetlet sets are sold individually. Many times the stamps have been removed from the sheetlets and souvenir sheets. All of these "tactics" are used to avoid detection by experts and savvy collectors.

Sellers that call these "private", "locals", "Cinderella's", "unauthorized" are deceiving you. They are illegal stamps produced by a stamp dealer that is bent on ripping you off! Some sellers state "we offer them because they are on the market". Well how about you use a different dealer because that seller is "on the market"? If the stamp societies, auction sites and all other venues kicked these sellers off of their sites then they would have to comply or lose their ability to sell anything.

The following images are free for the use of all to use to alert the public to them. If anyone wants to make a public list of users on eBay, Delcampe and elsewhere who are selling these issues....fine by me since the UPU, PWMO and others appear to have given up or have not been updated in years.

If you have purchased any of these stamps from a dealer or if that dealer offers them, you should avoid that dealer! You will only be supporting illegal stamp makers who are only ripping you off.

In 2010 Mr. Montero continues production of illegal souvenir sheets made with his "series" on the topic of "History of the XXI Century". Also illegal production of varieties of Stamperija "issues" continues. None of them are listed in any catalog and are defined as "privately produced" on the Avion Stamps website.

This next "set" does not have a "combined" counterfeit souvenir sheet that I could find. It is not known if one exists. None of the counterfeit stamp dealers selling these have one offered.

ILLEGAL DELUXE SOUVENIR SHEETS

The following counterfeit deluxe souvenir sheet sets have been found being sold by the British counterfeit producer and his buddies. They are not listed in any catalog. They are reproductions of "issues" made by Stamperija. Is Stamperija in collaboration with the counterfeiter? How did the British counterfeiter obtain the printing materials to make them? On the Avion Stamp website all of the following imperforate versions are "disclaimed" as "privately produced". Only the British counterfeit producer and his "crew" are selling them and a few other unscrupulous dealers associated with them. They are not being sold on the Stamperija website in any form.

Only the basic souvenir sheet of six and the normal souvenir sheets of one were authorized by Mozambique. You will find these same criminal dealers offering unauthorized color proof sets of the deluxe sheets as well. I found for this year that the British producers and "crew" bought a huge number of the Stamperija issues dating 2010. This is "not normal" in regards to them buying anything from Stamperija. Why they bought Mozambique issues like this is a mystery. Some may think it was to insure Stamperija would not retaliate against them for making the counterfeits. A matter of "I will scratch your back and you scratch mine" agreement.

The asking price for just one is around $10.00! This means to get the full set would cost you $120.00! For one fake color proof set the asking price is around $70.00! So to get them all would cost you an incredible $840.00! A ridiculous amount for counterfeit goods! Avoid them all and the dealers selling them.

I found this next one on the Avion Stamp website in the 2011 section. It is the only reproduction of a stamp from the set produced by Stamperija.

In 2011 Stamperija produced an even more hideous amount of stamps in the name of Mozambique. 2011 marks the end of Montero's "History of the XXI Century" scam.
