The following images are of illegal stamps produced for Chad. Please remember that the producers of these illegals are not only greedy, they are crude and sometimes disgusting which is the nature of these people.

I have found the Stampworld.com Catalog to be helpful as well although as stated above there are "conflicts" between what is listed there and what is on the Colnect catalog. Namely listing certain years of the abusive Impressor S.A. issues. I have given more details on this on certain pages.

Or use a respectable catalog like Scott or Stanley Gibbons. I have found that Michel and Yvert list many of the Impressor S.A. issues whereas Scott and SG do not. Namely because of no evidence of postal usage. You can obviously see the similarity of the Impressor S.A. issues using the same topics as the illegal stamps. They have been massively produced in all kinds of forms from souvenir sheets, deluxe sheets to gold foil stamps. Certain recent years are being almost exclusively sold by a German dealer who consistently puts in his titles "OFFICIAL ISSUE" as if there is something wrong with them.
Which there is.....
THEY ARE ABUSIVE STAMPS made only to sell to collectors produced in excess of postal needs and as stated above, showing no evidence of postal usage.

You will find the styles and designs of the following illegal stamps completely different.

The following pages will show you how the producer worked in unison with the abusive stamp agent Impressor S.A., slowing down during the years the agent was authorized to print stamps by Chad, and ramping up again during the years they were not. The evidence is the stamps and the illegal stamps themselves.

Many of the following illegal stamps can be found as imperforates and as color proof sets as well. Many fake First Day Covers exist as well.
Most times now (2020) the souvenir sheet sets and sheetlet sets are sold individually. Many times the stamps have been removed from the sheetlets and souvenir sheets. All of these "tactics" are used to avoid detection by UPU circular descriptions and experts like myself.

Sellers that call these "private", "locals", "Cinderella's", "unauthorized" are deceiving you. They are counterfeit illegal stamps produced by a stamp dealer that is bent on ripping you off! Some sellers state "we offer them because they are on the market". Well how about you use a different dealer because that seller is "on the market"? If the stamp societies, auction sites and all other venues kicked these sellers off of their sites then they would have to comply or lose their ability to sell anything.

The following images are free for the use of all to use to alert the public to them. If anyone wants to make a public list of users on eBay, Delcampe and elsewhere who are selling these issues....fine by me since the UPU, PWMO and others appear to have given up or have not been updated in years.

2003

In 2003 Impressor S.A. is still running rampant in producing massive numbers of sheets and souvenir sheets with topics ranging from Butterflies to Mushrooms. They had gained their first major contract with Chad in 1996. Before that year Chad was a mainly conservative stamp issuing entity. That all changed in 1997.

Evidence of conflict between the British counterfeit producer and Impressor S.A. ended in this year. The styles of many of the counterfeits completely changed in 2003 to the styles used in the name of many other victimized countries. Impressor styles changed completely.

In 2003 the British producer produced more counterfeit illegal stamps than before but remained conservative. Impressor S.A. was producing more "issues" as well but most of the major catalogs were catching on to what they were doing and not listing them. The Scott catalog only lists a couple issues dating 2003.

In 2003 according to the WNS system, Chad issued 40 stamps. I have found that according to the WNS system 36 of the stamps were issued in six different souvenir sheets of 6 which the WNS system states are one complete set. The other four stamps Celebrating Friendship between Chad and Taiwan were issued in a souvenir sheet of 4.

In 2004 it appears Chad (at least temporarily) finally got wise and kicked Impressor S.A. out. Indeed there are many "issues" being sold. Many are dated 2003 but said to be issued in 2004. Scott and Stanley Gibbons do not list them. Michel and Yvert do. We have seen the problem with this company continuing to produce stamps without authorization by other countries. Chad is no different. Try to find genuine postal usage. We can also see that we have a problem with two catalogs listing unauthorized and non-postally used stamps. This needs to be addressed because as far as I am concerned those two major catalogs are in the status of being unreliable sources in regards to genuine stamps.

I have been involved with Michel catalog removing listings of forgeries that were placed onto the market in 2014 of Format related stamps that were made in the 1980's. I have had articles in major stamp catalogs published on those forgeries. Due to the criminals fooling a stamp expertising company in France, they were able to convince Michel editors to list them. Sadly that listing was published in their latest catalogs before it was caught, thus causing more confusion. They have since been removed from their database but sadly the damage is already done. This is why the catalogs must do more research into the stamps they are listing. Taking the word of a stamp dealer or agent is not enough. They must directly make contact with the postal authorities themselves before listing stamps as genuine. If they cannot do this....then don't list them!

In 2004 Tunisie Post obtained the contract. In 2004 according to the WNS system, Chad issued 8 stamps.

Because Impressor S.A. continued to pump out stamps which is beginning to look like illegally, the British producer continued to "lay low" only producing a few counterfeit stamp sheets. Here is what I found. There may be more.

In 2005 a complete halt to illegal stamp production happened for Chad. Impressor S.A. stopped as well.....
