Information and Reference of Illegal Stamps for Burundi Dating 2017

In 2017 Impressor S.A. produced another group of abusive stamps in the name of Burundi. The problem is, none of the main catalogs list them except Yvert et Tellier. The British counterfeit producer returns and topnimarka gets even worse.

To start, here are recommended sites to use for reference. As I stated, the WNS system is short and incomplete on what is real. The stamps that are shown should be researched further before you buy them.

Many of the following illegal stamps can be found as imperforates and as color proof sets as well. Many exist on fake First Day Covers too.
Most times now (2022) the souvenir sheet sets and sheetlet sets are sold individually. Many times the stamps have been removed from the sheetlets and souvenir sheets. All of these "tactics" are used to avoid detection by experts and savvy collectors.

Sellers that call these "private", "locals", "Cinderella's", "unauthorized" are deceiving you. They are illegal stamps produced by a stamp dealer that is bent on ripping you off! Some sellers state "we offer them because they are on the market". Well how about you use a different dealer because that seller is "on the market"? If the stamp societies, auction sites and all other venues kicked these sellers off of their sites then they would have to comply or lose their ability to sell anything.

The following images are free for the use of all to use to alert the public to them. If anyone wants to make a public list of users on eBay, Delcampe and elsewhere who are selling these issues....fine by me since the UPU, PWMO and others appear to have given up or have not been updated in years.

If you have purchased any of these stamps from a dealer or if that dealer offers them, you should avoid that dealer! You will only be supporting illegal stamp makers who are only ripping you off.

For 2017, Impressor creates one more batch of souvenir sheets before simply disappearing from the abusive cycle made in the name of Burundi. Not a single sheet is recognized by any of the main catalogs except Yvert et Tellier. All have a 2017 year date which is odd as the majority of previous issues have year dates that conflict with the "said" time of issue. I must say the quality of these is quite depreciated and viewed with magnification are quite "crude" looking including the perforations.

In 2017 it appears the Eastern European producers makes another huge batch of counterfeits in the name of Burundi. Most have been recognized and listed on Colnect as illegal stamps.

Then for 2017 we have the topnimarka "brand" of counterfeits being produced in numbers worse than ever!

For this page I will present all the illegal stamps I can find in the order of the British style, and then the topnimarka brand.

BRITISH PRODUCED ILLEGAL STAMPS

As stated the Eastern European counterfeit producers "returns" and attempts to place more garbage Burundi counterfeits on the stamp market. We see that almost every seller of them past and present are either notorious illegal stamp dealers and/or untrustworthy and unscrupulous stamp sellers. These are being sold as mint perforated or imperforate varieties and fake CTO varieties. They are mainly being offered by Eastern European sellers.

All of the following Eastern European produced counterfeit illegal stamps are listed in the Colnect Illegal stamps section for Burundi and verified as illegal. We can see they have been well known as illegal for a long time, yet we have the above freak stamp dealers selling them as if they are real stamps. Surely, more evidence against these sellers, making it quite easy to remove them from the stamp selling venues...permanently. It is quite obvious that these sellers have criminal intent to rip you off!

RUSSIAN PRODUCED ILLEGAL STAMPS

It is not known if topnimarka made this first counterfeit set I present. The style is similar to their counterfeit "brand". It is being or has been exclusively sold by the criminal dealer mapka666 located in the Russian Federation. The dealer uses the user name plain "mapka" on Delcampe and on Hipstamp. The user at least temporarily stopped from selling due to the war in the Ukraine. Although they are back claiming they are located in countries outside of Russia now. It has also been sold by the user Hanmart located in Poland and selling on Delcampe and eBay. Avoid it and the sellers that offer it like the plague! Even when the seller is some "big" dealer. Those who sell illegal stamps mixed in with authentic stamps are no less guilty than major illegal stamp dealers. They come up with all kinds of "excuses" when confronted. This Hanmart is no exception. I do not care if you have a million feedbacks and offer a million stamps. You can be "taken down" at any time for involving yourself in the criminal activity of selling counterfeit goods.

A similar set is being distributed by this mapka criminal dealer that is in the name of Chad.

The Russian based company has produced the following counterfeit illegal stamps dating 2017 in the name of Burundi. They are not commonly seen on the main stamp market because we are fighting for you to keep them off the main market. Should this company be allowed to run accounts on the main stamp venues like eBay and Delcampe, you will see a new flood of illegal stamps worse than ever seen before. This company is consistently trying to create new accounts on the venues to move them into the main stream market. Should you see them on sites like eBay and Delcampe, you can report them to me and I can assure you that they will not be there long!

I have discovered that this company is producing counterfeit stamps in later years and back dating them. For Burundi, this is the case for a number of sets dating 2017. He has produced 41 different sets dating 2017 of which 9 of the sets were made after 2017 and back dated. More could be added at any time. Avoid them all!

In 2018 Impressor is no more and even though Stamperija appears to have gained a contract, they are only permitted to print just one souvenir sheet. Meanwhile, topnimarka dominates the illegal stamp productions in the name of Burundi.
