Information and Reference of Illegal Stamps for Burundi Dating 2016

In 2016 Impressor S.A. continues to produce abusive stamps in the name of Burundi. Only the counterfeit producer topnimarka creates more illegal stamps in the name of Burundi in this year. Well, with possibly the exception of one huge set I discovered being massively sold dating 2016.

To start, here are recommended sites to use for reference. As I stated, the WNS system is short and incomplete on what is real. The stamps that are shown should be researched further before you buy them.

I have found the Colnect online catalog to be very helpful. Sadly because of the glut of abusive issues in some years it is a pain to go through those pages.

Many of the following illegal stamps can be found as imperforates and as color proof sets as well. Many exist on fake First Day Covers too.
Most times now (2022) the souvenir sheet sets and sheetlet sets are sold individually. Many times the stamps have been removed from the sheetlets and souvenir sheets. All of these "tactics" are used to avoid detection by experts and savvy collectors.

Sellers that call these "private", "locals", "Cinderella's", "unauthorized" are deceiving you. They are illegal stamps produced by a stamp dealer that is bent on ripping you off! Some sellers state "we offer them because they are on the market". Well how about you use a different dealer because that seller is "on the market"? If the stamp societies, auction sites and all other venues kicked these sellers off of their sites then they would have to comply or lose their ability to sell anything.

The following images are free for the use of all to use to alert the public to them. If anyone wants to make a public list of users on eBay, Delcampe and elsewhere who are selling these issues....fine by me since the UPU, PWMO and others appear to have given up or have not been updated in years.

If you have purchased any of these stamps from a dealer or if that dealer offers them, you should avoid that dealer! You will only be supporting illegal stamp makers who are only ripping you off.

2016

2016 is the year that conflicts begin (as usual) with the Impressor produced "issues". We can see and verify that the Migratory Birds issues (which are all inscribed with the year date of 2015) are even verified as legal on the WNS system. One "problem" we see in the listing of them is that the Colnect online catalog is now only listing them with Yvert catalog numbers. Not listed in Michel? Why? Obviously again, not listed in Scott or Stanley Gibbons which gives us yet another clue there is something wrong. Indeed, again we have yet another "series" of stamps made by an abusive stamp agency that has been listed on the WNS system. This shows us again, internal and external "corruption" within the UPU as most certainly Impressor breaks all the UPU rules and ethics set out for stamp printing best practices. They are an agent that prints their own stamps with no verifiable security measures in place.

A major conflict shows with the rest of the Impressor issues for this year. Colnect showing only one issue, while the Stampworld online catalog shows numerous other souvenir sheets that were produced by this agency. Most still dating 2015 in the inscriptions. I must say the images are unclear both on the Stampworld catalog and by the major seller of them on Delcampe who is dhoefelmeier in Germany. To me, this is by design to confuse you. There is no reason for clarity of images not to be applied to sales unless the seller is hiding something in regards to postage stamps. In this case, the year inscribed on the stamps.

Why is this stamp agency not keeping up in a timely fashion on the years of issue? You can see that after 2014, the majority (and I mean majority) of stamp issues, made by this agent for Burundi, are always inscribed with a year date which is a year behind, if not further, than when it is stated to be issued. All 2015 issues dated 2014. Practically all 2016 issues dated 2015 and so forth. Thus, causing yet another mess in defining them which has been shown to be "typical" with this "agent". My personal opinion is that it is designed purposely to create confusion. Therefore, giving them the ability to falsely state statuses of issue years that were not authorized by the country they are printing stamps for. Let's see proof!

Because they are "listed" by one of the main catalogs, I will not give them the status of being illegally produced and marketed. Instead as the above implies, suspicion of this practice, makes it to where I would not invest heavily in these "issues". The prices asked by this one user are extreme and the investment in them is bad as sales show us throughout the venues where only one souvenir sheet is "offered" on eBay and none are offered on Hipstamp.

The Impressor issues said to be for 2017 are in the illegal stamp status. That will be shown on the 2017 page.

Moving on!

In 2016 topnimarka begins its massive onslaught on Burundi. As I show, all the earlier 2014 and 2015 sets were back dated. this shows us that the criminal producer was too busy in 2015 making massive attacks on other countries and did not include Burundi as a target in 2015 when they first appeared on the internet. The Russian based company has produced the following counterfeit illegal stamps dating 2016 in the name of Burundi. They are not commonly seen on the main stamp market because we are fighting for you to keep them off the main market. Should this company be allowed to run accounts on the main stamp venues like eBay and Delcampe, you will see a new flood of illegal stamps worse than ever seen before. This company is consistently trying to create new accounts on the venues to move them into the main stream market. Should you see them on sites like eBay and Delcampe, you can report them to me and I can assure you that they will not be there long!

I have discovered that this company is producing counterfeit stamps in later years and back dating them. For Burundi, this is the case for a number of sets dating 2016. He has produced 21 different sets dating 2016 of which 6 of the sets were made after 2016 and back dated. More could be added at any time. Avoid them all!

To begin, I must first present the following set of counterfeits suspected to be made by topnimarka or possibly Stamperija which is not offered on their websites. In my searches for illegal stamps made for the year 2016, I found very few offering on the main stamp selling venues of illegal stamps. What did keep showing up is the following set on the topic of World Cup Soccer in 2018. This huge set is not listed in any catalog and is being offered strictly by notorious counterfeit stamp sellers. The main one is mapka666 on eBay, who is plain mapka on Delcampe and Hipstamp. Being located in the Russian Federation, this criminal dealer has been stopped at present times (2022) due to the war in Ukraine. He is still running the offers on Hipstamp and has sold this set massively on eBay and Delcampe.

The "style" of this set differs from what was produced by topnimarka in these years, but it is shown that they create counterfeit souvenir sheets and sets that are different in styles and format, which they give "exclusive" selling rights to their distributors. This has been shown with sales from the criminal seller spectre-stamps based in Norway who has been kicked off of Delcampe and eBay for selling counterfeit goods. Now is exclusively on the corrupt Hipstamp. I have evidence of massive sales by this mapka of numerous counterfeits produced by topnimarka as well as from the other counterfeit producers including the British producer and globalphila.

There are a couple other bad sellers selling this set as well in present times.

One is the user russianstampsandworld on eBay who is supposedly located in Austria. I doubt it is this sellers true location. Probably sending them from Russia to a distributor in Austria.

Another is the user 267 on Delcampe located in France. Yet another rotten seller of illegal stamps that should not be on Delcampe!

I must note that the format of the souvenir sheets does have an uncanny resemblance to Stamperija issues. Just saying and not accusing though. Namely wondering because of what we find in 2018. One single souvenir sheet that was authorized in 2018. Could this illegal stamp set be made by Stamperija and rejected by the Burundi Post in 2016? Rather than destroy it because it is a huge production, placed on the market through dark channels perhaps.

Here is the set. Avoid it and the sellers of it like the plague!

A set of 12 of these counterfeit souvenir sheets were made as well. A huge set yes? The criminals asking over $100.00. Even at $1.00 a sheet you can see the cost for a complete set is enormous. And in the end, a worthless investment as awareness of what it is increases.

In 2017 Impressor creates more stamps dating 2017. None are listed for this year in the main catalogs. It appears that the British counterfeit producer makes another large batch of counterfeit illegal stamps in the name of Burundi. All are confirmed as illegal in the Colnect Cinderella section. Topnimarka gets worse!
