UPDATE 2016

I have now discovered that the British Virgin Island unissued Michael Jackson Pairs have also been forged. This guide will show you what to look for as the same source has produced them all. Here are comparison images of them.
1985 Unissued BVI Michael Jackson Fake with Original 55c Stamp Comparison
Even though the dealer enhanced his image (basically with brightness and contrast), you can see the extreme difference in color of the fonts and backgrounds.
The dealer states "these stamps are later printings of the 1985 Issue". Why would there be any reprint of an unissued stamp???
1985 Unissued BVI Michael Jackson Fake with Original $1.50 Stamp Comparison So why reprint if they are as common as I have stated on the BVI page? The reason is because all originals were retained by Rushstamps and all archival materials were retained by Kasamir Bileski when the printing company was liquidated. Therefore they have never been affordable to the forger(s) at a minimal cost soooo....just run off some more reproductions like the Saint Vincent forgeries below.

End of Update

UPDATE October 2017

I have made another major update to this page. The single stamp forgeries are now on the market! Recently I have received purchases of the imperforate forgeries of this issue from user balticamber2011 on eBay. The seller did not send the perforated set I won which I do not need to show all the Michael Jackson sets being sold by this seller are forgeries. In the Gaertner October 2015 auction, lot#24181 containing 10,000 sets in panes of this issue and 10,000 sets containing the Michael Jackson issue was stopped from selling because they were discovered to be forgeries. The forgeries have now found other ways to be disbursed onto the stamp market. Namely through this seller who also is connected with users raimissss, armi777, asrm10 and hobbytrade.
As of this update I am adding the stamps section, names of sellers and a new ultra-violet light detection section. I will also make a couple changes to the existing write-ups.

END OF UPDATE OCTOBER 2017

UPDATE January 2018

The proliferation of these forgeries continues. Recently I acquired a set of the perforated forgeries from a victim of this. I have added an image above of them. They have the same white gum and all the same characteristics as the imperforate forgeries.

END OF UPDATE January 2018

UPDATE March 2018

As of March 2018 a new player has joined the ranks selling forgeries of this issue. On eBay stampsinternational2010 (aka city-collectables) has apparently acquired a large stock of the forgeries and is trying to move them on eBay. We have forced him to describe them as such but are still having problems with him placing them in the proper category. Namely the "Fakes and Reproductions" category. In my opinion all of them should be permanently marked as forgeries on the back. The fake inverts as color proof sets in full panes are now on the market!

I have acquired a set of them (at $20.00) for reference and can now verify they are exactly the same as the invert forgery set imaged above. In the set the $2 value was not there! Recently (March 17) the user listed the $2 pair as just the final imperforate fake invert finals in a full pane. Does he have the fake color proofs? Here is an image of all the panes that I received together.

Here is an image of a genuine set of color proofs of a 1985 $5 Michael Jackson stamp pair. The $5 pair was originally in the singles set and the $4 on the souvenir sheets. Either one is the same as far as the colors are concerned.
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Genuine Stamp Color Proof Set

Here is an image of the forged $4 color proofs of a 1985 Michael Jackson stamp pairs.
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Forged Stamp Color Proofs

Aside from the fact that the two stamps are reversed in positions you can see the extreme difference in the colors. Note that the blue/red and frame proofs are missing in the forgery sets. This is because the forgery process has been "cheapened" down and the frame proof would be absolute proof that they are forgeries as it would show a complete difference from the genuine frame proofs as it is impossible for the value to be inverted without the country name being inverted as well and the frame around the image would not match the frame proof when inverted.
Should these forgeries even be offered at all by sellers? Not without them being permanently marked as forgeries so they cannot deceive unknowing dealers and collectors.

END OF UPDATE March 2018

UPDATE May 2018

stampsinternational2010 has voluntarily removed all listings of these forged color proofs from the online venues. This shows that he is probably an honorable dealer. In my opinion all of them should be either destroyed or permanently marked "forgery" if placed for sale again. Hopefully he is going after the place he got them from and hopefully they are going after the one who sold them to them!

END OF UPDATE March 2018

DECEMBER 2018 UPDATE

Well sadly I have more bad news on this issue. The seller using the user name city-collectables (aka Stampsinternational2010 or Krakow Stamps) located Poland.39-40/1 Rynek Glowny,Krakow has proven to be an unhonorable and rip-off seller. After pretending to be honorable on eBay as I showed above he has either continued or has started trying to knowingly sell the Format forgery panes on Hipstamps. Here are snapshot images of his sale on Hipstamps of the fake imperforate Michael Jackson panes.

It is sad to see that dealers like this would rather knowingly rip-off unknowing collectors rather than to have the guts to admit they were ripped off by their own lack of knowledge and take the hit and either destroy these fakes or mark them all as forgeries and sell them as such. This seller has proven to be yet another low life con that nobody should do business with. What other fake garbage is this seller pawning?
BEWARE!!

END OF DECEMBER 2018 UPDATE

Now for my original writing I wrote in 2015 on this issue.

I have recently discovered that modern fake stamps of this issue are being sold onto the market. I can tell you that real dangerous fakes or some call forgeries are being flooded on the market as I write this page in July of 2015.

My research into the printer has enabled me to discover modern fake stamps have been created in 2014!! They are being spread across the world through online auction sites like eBay and Delcampe. Everything about them is fake except for one dangerous fact, they have the correct perf size. The gum type is different in it being white in color and very shiny. This gum type was not used until much later years, long after Format went bankrupt thus proving they were not produced by the Format International Security Printers. Obvious differences will be shown below. So far I have discovered complete sets of fake inverts of the Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson issue. I have also discovered forgeries of the Imperforate souvenir sheets as well. All are being offered online right now as I write this on July 11, 2015.

An attempt to move 10,000 sets of the Michael Jackson and 10,000 sets of the Elvis Presley issues was made in October. They were normal issues!

Noting as of 2017 the stamp forgeries have now been moved onto the market.

The stamps and souvenir sheets are very popular for Michael Jackson collectors and many other types of collectors.
Thanks to the greed of certain individuals and the ignoring by your stamp community leaders the problem grows daily until all Format produced stamps from the 1980's will possibly be forged. If you can't figure out who is behind it by now then perhaps you should read up on the history of the Format Printers.

I can also tell you that I have discovered that many more "modern" issues for Saint Vincent and other countries are being forged. Mainly varieties and "errors" of the issues which bring in higher profits although normal issues are also being faked in some cases. All are being produced by the same source which is unknown at present. All are dangerous forgeries because the perf sizes are correct. Images shown on auction sites cannot be trusted because they cannot be defined by counting perforations and unless you have a comparable image of the originals they cannot be recognized by the images given by sellers. This includes Audubon Birds issues including inverted frames, Dogs inverts, Flowers inverts, 60th Birthday inverts, and many more.

ANY INFORMATION TO TRACE THE SOURCE OF THESE FORGERIES WILL BE POSTED TO THE PROPER RESOURCES

At present sellers on eBay, Delcampe, Bonanza, and Amazon are offering them. I am sure other sources are now selling them also. A list of these sellers is being compiled and at some point the source may be revealed. At this time unless the sellers stop selling them (which is doubtful) it is up to you as a buyer to refuse to buy them without proper identification. In other words, make the seller send you 1200dpi images of the front and back of the stamps and then compare them with my images. I have posted more pages on the issues I have discovered to be forged and have included an index page listing them with links.

New information is welcome and you may contact me through this website anytime.

I purchased in October 2017 on eBay sets of perforated and imperforate single pairs of this issue from balticamber2011 in strips of 5 pairs. I won them for $1.25 each lot. Looks like collectors are waking up to what is happening. A few years ago the unauthorized reprints these sellers were selling were going for a bunch more. Here are images of what I received. The image for the perforated versions of the forgeries is from the lot image provided by balticamber2011 which I won but this seller did not even send with all the other lots I won. Despite communications he still has not sent them because this seller does not care and thinks he is above the laws and morals of collectors worldwide. Told many times he was selling forgeries but to this day persists in selling them. Appropriate negative feedbacks have been given on several of the accounts. Advice is to avoid this seller because he and his related intend to rip you off with every chance they get and have been for years now!

This is the new single stamp pair section created in October 2017.

I now have everything together to present to you how to detect them and not get ripped off!!

The number one clue about these forgeries:
ALL INVERTS OF THIS ISSUE ARE FAKES

The Format Printers never produced any "inverts" of this issue ever! When the unauthorized reprints were produced by Clive Feigenbaum in the mid 1990's the inverted Elvis Presley stamps appeared. All inverts either from that production or if new forgeries appear are fake in all ways. All being shoddy reproductions from the genuine stamps. As for Michael Jackson....none appeared until 2015. You don't smell a rat??
More descriptive information on the fake inverts is found further down this page.

ULTRA-VIOLET LIGHT DETECTION

I have discovered another way to detect many of the forgeries. Use an ultra-violet light on them!
In many cases with all the forgeries I have posted the now many pages for, I have found that many sets glow brightly like the fluorescent papers used on many, for example, Canadian stamps in the past. A word of caution on this though. Many forgeries I have found, which all have the yellowish gum, do not glow or have lower grades of brightness or have numerous fibers in the paper that glow. In quite a few cases I have found the sets to have mixed papers, as in , several values glow and several are either less bright or do not glow at all!
There are only two answers to this oddity that are possible. It is either the forger is so lazy that he just grabs whatever paper is handy or....there are numerous different printings of the forgeries and this has been going on much longer than my discovery of the early 2014 massive movement of the forgeries onto the market.

The basic rule to follow with all stamps produced by the Format Printers is,
THE IMAGE SIDE OF GENUINE STAMPS DO NOT GLOW AT ALL.
The Format Printers used basically all the same type of paper on all the stamps they produced in the 1980's as did they use the same gum type except for a couple sets they produced in 1989 when newer types of gum were becoming popular in the stamp printing business.

At this time my genuine sets and even the souvenir sheet forgeries and fake inverts are being analyzed by APS experts so I cannot provide images in this part yet. I already know they all will glow brightly under ultra-violet light. i will provide images when the material is returned to me.

The gum is very important to note here. You can compare the originals with tons of other original Format produced issues and find it is exactly the same no matter what country it was made for. The fakes are not. Please view the gum comparisons in the section below for the fake inverts. All are the same.

Screen and Color Comparison of a Stamp Forgery with a Genuine Stamp
The following images taken at 1200dpi and not enhanced. I use a genuine 60c value and an imperforate 60c value forgery for comparisons.

One first and foremost way to tell these fakes is to look at the surface on the face. Shiny like a photo? Forgeries. Dull matt finish? Genuine.

This one compare's Michael Jackson's face on the left stamp. Note the difference in color on the forged stamp. The coarser inferior screens used making the image lose much detail.
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Forgery with Genuine Screen and Color Comparison of Left 60c Stamp

This one compares Michael Jackson's face on the right stamp. Note the difference in color on the forged stamp. The coarser inferior screens used making the image lose much detail.
I note that the images on the forgeries are slightly larger than on the genuine stamps. This is explained in more detail on my page on the unauthorized reprints. Basically, the original plates were destroyed after the original issues were made and so Clive Feigenbaum had new plates made which had slightly larger images thus having problems where Michael's hair at the top is cut off and such. These newest forgeries are having the same issues which presents to all of us the fact that the source of these new forgeries is indeed one and the same.

Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Forgery with Genuine Screen and Color Comparison of Right 60c Stamp

Now here is a comparison of the top of Michael Jackson's head on the left 60c value. Although slightly less extreme than on the unauthorized reprints....basically the same.
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Forgery with Original Top of Head Comparison on the Stamps

I note how thin the black frame line is on the forgery. The line is much more thicker on the genuine stamp.

Now I will show reduced images of the genuine stamps with the forgeries.

Because I created this page originally with the invert forgeries before the newest perforated and imperforate forgeries were on the market, I have had to change image id's and things to get this page into perspective. Because the inverts are "reversed" the details required to define the "normal" issues are different.

Now that you know what to look for it helps yes?
Notice the difference in overall color now?
Noting prominent differences:
On the left genuine stamp Michael Jackson's hair has a tiny gap from the edge of the image at the top. His hair is cut off at the top on the forgery.
On the right genuine stamp Michael Jackson's hat has a large gap from the edge of the image at the top. His hat is much closer at the top on the forgery.
The country name and the denomination are lavender on the genuine stamps. They are bright red on the forgeries.
The black frame lines around the images are very thin on the forgeries.

The black frame lines around the images are very thin on the forgeries.

THE MICHEL JACKSON INVERT ERROR FORGERY STAMPS

This section I have made minor changes to in 2017.

Recently I noticed sales of the Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson issue being sold as inverted frame errors on eBay from a dealer in the UK at a cost of around $25.00. I had already discovered the seller is selling other fake invert sets and so I purchased a set and was amazed to find it is from a completely different printing than the originals and the unauthorized reprints! The colors, screens, fonts and gum completely differ.
With my suspicions up I checked other lots on eBay looking for odd Michael Jackson lots and came across lots of the imperforate souvenir sheets up for auction at a price around $10.00 for the set. I purchased one and when I received them found them all to be from the same source! The same gum type, paper and screens!

The first clue that tells you the inverted stamp sets are fakes is....

THE IDIOTS PUT THE $4 SOUVENIR SHEET VALUE ON THE HIGH VALUE!! ANYBODY WHO CANNOT NOTICE THAT AND IS TRYING TO SELL THESE FAKES SHOULD NOT BE DEALT WITH IN ANY REGARDS!!

Here is a snapshot of a "dealer" trying to tell us they are from the original printing on eBay. This shows either complete ignorance or complete deceit.
Since this page I created was posted this "dealer" changed his tune showing the latter to be true. This person still persists in offering these forgeries on eBay and other locations. Calls them "later printings" now. How about calling them what they really are? Fake reproductions produced 30 years later by a crooked stamp dealer bent on ripping you off!

BEWARE!!

Stampbank of London Advertisement on eBay

Here is a snapshot of this sellers latest deceit on eBay.
Stampbank of London Ripoff Lies on eBay

Now you tell me, How can a "later printing" come from the "original print run" and be "not a re-print"????
That does not compute!
But then it appears because nobody in this world has the guts to stand up against this massive flood of forgeries contaminating the stamp market, "dealers" like this will continue to rip you off freely and joyously. Obviously this seller is watching my site because he copies the general statements I have placed under the sets that are being forged and puts them in his sale lots. Wonder if I could get him for copyright. The owners name is Ettan Bazil. The site sells every forgery that has been created by....well isn't it obvious yet? There are other dealers selling these also but nothing compares to the scale this one business is doing. Interesting that the company opened on eBay May 30 ,2014 which is around the time the forgeries started appearing on the market.....
Then incorporated under the name Stampbank Ltd. on April 2, 2015 and wishes to claim it is a "dormant" company. Wonder what type of tax evasion this one is trying. Looks like the House of Questa style of business. Has numerous companies and all are "dormant". Yet is constantly making money on eBay and such......interesting.

Again BEWARE! Located on eBay and Amazon and runs personal international websites. Feel sorry for all the victims in other countries. Here is a snapshot of his ad on his own site.
Stampbank of London False Advertising on Personal Website

Mr. Bazil...you are really stuck on trying to claim they are from the original printing. Why don't you take yourself back to my introductory page on Modern Fake Stamps and read the article by the British Philatelic Exporter a couple more times. And I quote:

"THE INVERT IS COMPLETELY FABRICATED AS THE ORIGINAL PRINTING OF THE DENOMINATION AND THE COUNTRY NAME WERE DONE FROM THE SAME PLATE!"

I must add here for those who do not understand what this means. The country names and denominations on the original printing were printed together on the "Leaders of the World" FRAME plates. Therefore it is impossible to reverse the denomination and not reverse the country name as well!
Here is an expanded image taken from one of the genuine color proof sets imaged in the unauthorized reprints page.

So.....give up already and quit lying! Trading Standards there in the United Kingdom where this guy is based should be taking a real hard look at what he is doing.

Moving on!

THE SAINT VINCENT 1985 MICHAEL JACKSON INVERTED FRAME STAMP FORGERIES

Here are the differences so you can define these forgeries.

Here are gum comparisons.

Gum Comparison of a Fake Stamp with Original
This gum appears to still be PVA but without the greenish tint. It is very white in comparing with genuine issues. It has been noted that other British issues like some of the Machin issues have this type of gum. The problem is it was not used until the late 90's. The gum is very shiny though which conflicts with the description of the gum known as PVAI (Layflat) used on the Machins. Yet the stamps lay perfectly flat on a surface whereas originals have a light bending from aging.
This is evidence showing even a later creation and since these did not appear on the market until 2014 and no such invert errors have ever been on the market nor recorded, it proves these to be modern forgeries of the stamps.
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Forgery with Genuine Gum Comparison

Gum Comparison of the Genuine, Unauthorized Reprint and Forged Michael Jackson Stamps
Again there is an obvious difference in color and texture.
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Forgery, Unauthorized Reprint and Genuine Gum Comparison

Screen and Color Comparison of the Invert Stamp Forgery with Genuine Stamp
Note the extreme difference in color on the stamp forgery. The inferior screen pattern.
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Invert Forgery with Genuine Screen and Color Comparison

Screen and Color Comparison of the Invert Stamp Forgery with Unauthorized Reprint Stamp
The quality of the Inverted Frame stamp forgery surpasses the quality of the unauthorized reprint making it an even more dangerous facsimile of the genuine stamp.
Again note the extreme difference in color on the inverted frame stamp forgery. The letter "o" actually can be discerned better than on the unauthorized reprint. Still an inferior screen pattern although better than the reprint!
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Invert Forgery with Unauthorized Reprint Screen and Color Comparison

Comparison of the Inverted Frame 60c Stamp Forgery with a Genuine Stamp
A stunning difference yes?
Please note the extreme difference in colors on the forgery. You can see that the country name and value are a completely different color being red instead of lavender. Michael's coat is almost yellow on the forgery!
The forgeries are kind of like a photocopy of the originals but use a lower quality screen and have a shiny surface over the face.
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Invert Error Forgery with Genuine 60c Stamp Comparison

Comparison of the Inverted Frame $1 Stamp Forgery with a Genuine Stamp
Again an extreme difference in colors on the fake stamp. You can see that the background colors on both stamps is extremely different.
The fake stamps country name and value are a redder color whereas the originals is an orange-red.
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Invert Error Forgery with Genuine $1 Stamp Comparison

Comparison of the Inverted Frame $2 Stamp Forgery with a Genuine Stamp
Here again note the extreme difference in color of the backgrounds on the forgery. You can see that the country name and value are a completely different green color. The bars above and below the country name on the forged stamp have red color added making them appear almost black!
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Invert Error Forgery with Genuine $2 Stamp Comparison

Comparison of the Inverted Frame $4 Stamp Forgery with a Genuine Stamp
Here again note the extreme difference in color of the backgrounds on the forgery. You can see that the country name and value are a completely different brown color. Of course the obvious thing is that the value is $4 instead of $5!
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Invert Error Forgery with Genuine $5 Stamp Comparison

I have created a table with links at the bottom of this page to full size images at 1200dpi for you to use to compare.

THE SAINT VINCENT 1985 MICHAEL JACKSON SOUVENIR SHEET FORGERIES

All of the Michael Jackson imperforate souvenir sheet forgeries are smaller in width than the originals. All are completely different!

Gum Comparison of the Original and Forged 1985 Michael Jackson Souvenir Sheets
Again there is an obvious difference in color and texture. Note the width differences. The forged imperforate cut smaller.
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Souvenir Sheet Forgery, Unauthorized Reprint and Original Gum Comparison

Screen and Color Comparison of the Forged Souvenir Sheet Image with Genuine Souvenir Sheet Image
Here I ironically use the $4 souvenir sheets to show 1200dpi images of the differences.

Note the difference in color on the souvenir sheet forgery. The inferior screen pattern again is prominent.
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Forgery with Genuine Souvenir Sheet Image Screen and Color Comparison

Screen and Color Comparison of the Forged Souvenir Sheet $4 Stamp with Genuine Souvenir Sheet $4 Stamp
You can see that everything is different on the $4 stamps. The screens, the colors, the size of the frames. Even the Leaders of the World logo's are different. A good try by the forgers but you will never fool us with this junk printer you have! Your images will never match what Format produced because you cannot do it without a superior lithographic press which you could not afford to run making forgeries like these.
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Forgery with Genuine Souvenir Sheet $4 Stamp Screen and Color Comparison

Now let's compare the forgery with one of the unauthorized reprints showing that indeed the forgeries are very dangerous.

Screen and Color Comparison of an Unauthorized Reprint Souvenir Sheet Image with Forged Souvenir Sheet Image
On my page about the unauthorized reprints I have described how the images used for the stamps are larger than the originals. You can see Michael's fist is larger in this image compared to the forgery. The proportions and perforations on the forged souvenir sheets are closer to the originals thus making them harder to define than the unauthorized reprints especially with images given by sellers.
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Forgery with Unauthorized Reprint Souvenir Sheet Image Screen and Color Comparison

Screen and Color Comparison of the Forged Souvenir Sheet $4 Stamp with Unauthorized Reprint Souvenir Sheet $4 Stamp
Once again you can see that everything is different on the $4 stamps. The screens, the colors, the size of the frames. The Leaders of the World logo's are different. The thin black frame line on the forgeries gives them away since both the originals and the unauthorized reprints have thick black frame lines.
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Forgery with Unauthorized Reprint Souvenir Sheet $4 Stamp Screen and Color Comparison

You can see that there is a lot of differences between the three printings.

One buyer of these forgeries purchased a large lot from one of the biggest and most reputable stamp sellers on eBay. He bought what he thought was the complete print run of one "newly discovered" error in full panes in packets of 200 panes which were unopened.
I am sorry to say that there are several ways proving these were never produced by the Format Printers.
Firstly the packaging is wrong. Here is the image he sent me.
Packets of Fake Stamp Panes

The plastic wrapping is a flexible plastic used today. Format packaged all stamp panes in very brittle hard plastic that tears easily when opened. The separation paper is brown. Format always used pink/red paper to separate and protect the panes and souvenir sheets.

The perforations on the panes are wrong

Here is an image of the Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson 60c stamp pane from the original printing.
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Genuine print 60c Stamp Pane

Now here is an image of a Michael Jackson 60c forged stamp pane.
Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson Forgery print 60c Stamp Pane

Now look at the image of the genuine pane and the image of the forged pane shown above. Can you see the difference?
The perforations run through the selvage on the genuine pane on the top and the right side. The perforations run through the selvage depending on the position of the pane on the press sheet. There are no perforations on the right selvage of the forged pane and it is cut short!

Because of the fact that a major portion of leaders in the stamp community wish to turn a blind eye on these forgeries. Because of dealers and buyers who are afraid to "step up to the plate" because of fear of being ridiculed by self proclaimed "experts" or because they don't want to get involved, the forgers will continue to forge more and more sets. They have already effected other issues that have nothing to do with Leaders of the World issues such as Nauru 1982 Scouts, Barbuda 1983 Manned Flight and others showing us the wide range of stamps they are capable of forging and possibly have already forged. Soon you will be the victim when you buy that fake high valued Orchid stamp or that high priced definitive set you have dreamed of getting or what you thought to be a genuine error or variety which in the end only turns out to be fabricated by these forgers and nobody wants it when you go to sell it or your children go to sell it.

You have a choice.

Continue to ignore this problem that the majority of stamp leaders and editors seem to be trying to do just like they have with unauthorized reprints and "illegal" stamps in the past. Or spread the word and complain to your contacts and leaders that these problems need to be exposed and described in magazines, newspapers and catalogs before every stamp issue made in modern times from the 1970's onward falls victim to being a suspected forgery and in turn you or your friends or associates will fall victim to it when trying to buy or sell them. These forgers are professionals and have been here for decades unseen. They will continue to harm us unless people like you stand up and take notice!

This problem effects everyone because now instead of the value being based on a set quantity of the issued stamp, we now have double, triple or even more in quantity placed on the market. It will therefore depreciate the stated value of them in the catalogs simply because they will not research them and "assume" there are tons available when in reality for many sets the originals are and have become difficult to find.

I am simply the one who discovered them because of my research on the printer.
Indeed several issues that I have researched and obtained the original varieties of are effected. Mainly these fake imperforates. I am a professional tradesman and have never depended on stamps to live on. There are many that do depend on stamp sales though and it is for them also that I have created this section of the website.

You can now define the Saint Vincent 1985 Michael Jackson stamp and souvenir sheet forgeries easily and can now possibly avoid being ripped off! Sorry to say this, a lot of you already have been fooled and more of you will be until the right people get serious about it!

Here are links to images of each stamp with an genuine stamp next to a forgery. All are scanned at 1200dpi (except the souvenir sheets which are at 600dpi due to size) so the files are large. All were scanned at the same time with the same settings and nothing is enhanced. Please be patient with downloading them because each file is around 8 to 14 megs.
