Missing Red Error Stamp
Noting the final proof for this set is the normal stamp.
This set of progressives shows evidence of how the error was made. Noting the reddish Brown color is missing on the
the engine. The error stamp is a "made for collector" error. This particular "error" appears to be one of the most complex
errors ever produced by the printer. The reason I state this is because to make the color that is missing requires all three primary colors.
Therefore, three special progressive sheets (I call them secondary stages) had to be made to produce the error.
This set does not have the secondary stages but the primary color stages and later stages (red/blue and all colors) show this.
Unless in future a set is found with the missing secondary stages included it is more than likely the stages for the normal stamp
are either lost or destroyed. Proof of this type of process was found in the Saint Vincent holding of the trial evidence
used against the printer in 1989 and you can view such examples in those sections of the study.

There were 3000 pairs of each of the Tuvalu Nukulaelae Leaders of the World 1986 4th Series Locomotives Progressive Color Proof Stamps printed.
Of that quantity it is unknown how many exist still. Evidence is pointing toward very few being saved.
