Information and Reference of illegal stamps for Mauritania dating 2018

Mauritania is a very conservative stamp issuing entity of which many of the issues from 2000 forward are now hard to find. In 2018 Mauritania issued two stamps. According to all catalogs Mauritania has not issued any new stamps since then. Yet we see on eBay and Delcampe sales of "stamps" dating 2018 in the name of Mauritania that are nothing like the two issued stamps! What are they?

They are counterfeit illegal stamps, yes counterfeit as noted in the circulars, and are everywhere now. They are in collections and dealer stocks all over the world. They are still to this day being proliferated by the same criminals who were involved in the production and proliferation of them when they were first produced! Anyone selling them should be shunned because either they are selling them with full intent to rip you off or they lack the knowledge because of being too lazy or ignorant to do the research to find out what they are. They are obviously not listed in the major catalogs which is the first and most simple way to know there is something wrong with them. Anyone who is selling them that cannot take the time to do this first check is a bogus seller in my book and is not a seller to be trusted by any means of the word.

To find out what stamps are real and legitimate for Mauritania:

You can visit the UPU WNS website and look at the Mauritania section. Sadly Mauritania has not kept up with listings there and many are missing.

In 2018 production of the new style of counterfeit illegal stamps in the name of Mauritania continues and expands. Sales of them in current times (2021) are being done by the same users and dealers who are selling the 2016 and 2017 counterfeits therefore the same list is used below. Many "bulk" sales of them have been made in the past as noted on the 2016 and 2017 pages as well.

Who has and is selling them? Please note these are the most recent sellers and are not all by any means. There are many more than this in the past. Several more have now been added to the illegal stamp sellers list after viewing their accounts. Congratulations!

Noting again this is only a sample of the current listed users that are either selling them as of October 27, 2021 or have sold in the past. For Delcampe we now only see past "sold" lots when several years ago now we used to see all closed sales sold or not which would make the lists probably twice as big. The main reason (aside from letting you know present bad dealers) for these lists is to show the U.P.U. member countries how easy it is to find and trace these people. The evidence is right in front of you. You will find many of the users above are selling many illegal stamps in the name of many countries and show up over and over again.

Many collectors and dealers get it wrong when it comes to the sales of illegal stamps. The collector can buy anything they want. The dealer or seller in actuality cannot sell anything they want as so many of these bad dealers want us to believe. It is illegal to sell counterfeit goods in any country and that is what illegal stamps are! They are no different than selling counterfeit watches or counterfeit Gucci bags. Should the seller be caught and taken to trial, they will lose and risk losing everything they own because they cannot prove that the money to purchase their homes, cars and so forth, was not made from selling counterfeit goods. It would be most profitable for the U.P.U. and the victimized countries to go after anyone selling counterfeit illegal stamps. So, why not?

I wish to note yet again that there is nobody selling these on Hipstamps. This shows us it is possible it was not the British producer who made them. So who made them?
I suspect one of the Eastern European producers or possibly the Russian producer topnimarka. Until the people who have the power (namely the countries within the U.P.U.) fully investigate the origins they will continue to produce and sell these counterfeits forever!

In 2018 the following counterfeit illegal stamps were produced in the name of Mauritania and were and are being distributed to this day. Again I note,
only two stamps were issued by Mauritania in 2018 making all of the following stamps

In 2018 the counterfeit producer began to "advance" production of illegal stamps in the name of Mauritania by adding new types of souvenir sheets.



In searching for the illegal stamps a year ago I found these all were being sold in bulk lots by the notorious illegal stamp selling user mapka666 on eBay mapka on Delcampe based in Russia showing that there are tons of them out there. mapka on other venues. Sells real stamps and illegal stamps with impunity. Should have been shut down long ago. Now a big dealer from all the rip offs he has done.

These are looking more and more like the British producer is involved yet none offered by his main distributors. It is possible that all of the 2016 through 2018 illegal stamps made in the name of Mauritania were made by the British producer and just diverted to Eastern European, Asian and Spanish distributors and bad dealers to distance himself and his direct distributors from detection. The world of actual illegal stamp producers is very small. You can almost count who they are on one hand! It would actually be a small task for the U.P.U. and its members who have been victimized (some for three decades now) to wipe them all out once and for all thus ending future production of illegal stamps.....permanently.

In 2018 the counterfeit producer made this counterfeit souvenir sheet which goes with the set of 2017 Fish of the Asian Region counterfeit souvenir sheets of 6.
Does this mean the Asian Butterflies counterfeit souvenir sheet of 1 has matching counterfeit souvenir sheets in the same fashion of which at this time I could not find?
Anything goes with these criminals. they may be "holding" them to launch on to the market at a later time as if they are something "new".

Noting that on this particular image I found that it was originally used (and probably still is) on an auction site in Belarus called www.ay.by. When I looked a little bit into it I can see thousands of illegal stamps being offered by the same people (many kicked off) who sell them on eBay and Delcampe. This auction site is strictly within Belarus and does not ship outside of Russia. This auction site is "insecure". This auction site is dangerous to all collectors within the country and should be monitored by the Russian postal authorities because it allows massive sales of counterfeit stamps. It is probably doing the same in terms of fake coins and anything else offered on the site. I am finding that Belarus is a cesspool of criminal activity in the stamp market and anyone selling stamps from that region should be fully researched before buying anything from that region of the world!

n 2018 even the Russian based company topnimarka has produced counterfeit illegal stamps dating 2018 in the name of Mauritania. They are not commonly seen on the main stamp market because we are fighting for you to keep them off the main market. Should this company be allowed to run accounts on the main stamp venues like eBay and Delcampe, you will see a new flood of illegal stamps worse than ever seen before. This company is consistently trying to create new accounts on the venues to move them into the main stream market. Should you see them on sites like eBay and Delcampe, you can report them to me and I can assure you that they will not be there long!

After 2018 the production of illegal stamps in the name of Mauritania appears to have stopped. Can it start again? Absolutely until people in authority eliminate the problem makers.
