Information and Reference of illegal stamps for Mauritania dating 2016

Mauritania is a very conservative stamp issuing entity of which many of the issues from 2000 forward are now hard to find. In 2016 Mauritania issued a total of 16 stamps in 4 stamp sets. The imaged counterfeit stamps look nothing like any of them at all!

These counterfeit illegal stamps, yes counterfeit as noted in the circulars, are everywhere now. They are in collections and dealer stocks all over the world. They are still to this day being proliferated by the same criminals who were involved in the production and proliferation of them when they were first produced! Anyone selling them should be shunned because either they are selling them with full intent to rip you off or they lack the knowledge because of being too lazy or ignorant to do the research to find out what they are. They are obviously not listed in the major catalogs which is the first and most simple way to know there is something wrong with them. Anyone who is selling them that cannot take the time to do this first check is a bogus seller in my book and is not a seller to be trusted by any means of the word.

2016

In 2016 after over a decade of virtual "silence" of any illegal stamps made in the name of Mauritania, a new style starts appearing on the market. To this day near the end of 2021 no notice appears to be happening about them by the stamp market nor the postal authorities of Mauritania.

It is sad to see that, after all these years nobody has set up any safeguards to prevent the blatant criminal activity these people are doing resulting in thousands of stamp collectors worldwide being ripped off thinking these counterfeit illegal stamps are real and actually came from the country being victimized. It is shameful that the leadership within the U.P.U. has allowed this to happen for so many years now, knowing the circulars will not stop these criminals and that their WNS stamp system is failing to deter them. Only by brute legal force by the unification of the victimized countries in creating and maintaining a vigilant watch on the stamp market and going after anyone who starts selling them as soon as they appear will it be ended.

A complete analysis of the stamp market in its many forms must be done and the people selling them must be held accountable by closing down their sales, removing them forcefully from stamp venues and forcing them by legal actions to reveal who they got them from and tracing it to the source. Then taking the source who is making them and their main distributors who start the "chain" to court and expose them and confiscate everything they own because it was purchased with laundered money made from the sales of counterfeit goods. It is funny, but the countries (some in poverty status) seem not to realize they could reap in millions of dollars from these ghouls as some are now living in multi-million dollar houses, own islands, yachts and fine cars and now have rare collections obtained from these criminal funds.

The countries where these people reside are not holding up one speck of the bargain made within the U.P.U. which in many circulars it states:
"asking all UPU member countries to prohibit the circulation of such stamps in their territory."
Is any country doing this including the countries being victimized? NO!
Is the U.S.A. doing it? Absolutely not as some of the main dealers of them connected directly to the source are for three decades now located in the U.S.A. and are still selling them to this day unhindered.
Is the U.K. doing it? Absolutely not as the source of thousands of illegal stamps and his main distributors are for three decades now located in the U.K. and are still selling them to this day unhindered.

I could go on and on with this point alone but just want to show the point that is staring everyone in the face. None of the member countries of the U.P.U. are following any of their own rules set out by their own union including my own which is the U.S.A.! Why? Is it "too hard for you"? Just look at my whole reference on illegal stamps and then tell me it cannot be done!

Noting again this is only a sample of the current listed users that are either selling them as of October 27, 2021 or have sold in the past. For Delcampe we now only see past "sold" lots when several years ago now we used to see all closed sales sold or not which would make the lists probably twice as big. The main reason (aside from letting you know present bad dealers) for these lists is to show the U.P.U. member countries how easy it is to find and trace these people. The evidence is right in front of you. You will find many of the users above are selling many illegal stamps in the name of many countries and show up over and over again.

Many collectors and dealers get it wrong when it comes to the sales of illegal stamps. The collector can buy anything they want. The dealer or seller in actuality cannot sell anything they want as so many of these bad dealers want us to believe. It is illegal to sell counterfeit goods in any country and that is what illegal stamps are! They are no different than selling counterfeit watches or counterfeit Gucci bags. Should the seller be caught and taken to trial, they will lose and risk losing everything they own because they cannot prove that the money to purchase their homes, cars and so forth, was not made from selling counterfeit goods. It would be most profitable for the U.P.U. and the victimized countries to go after anyone selling counterfeit illegal stamps. So, why not?

I wish to note also that there is nobody selling these on Hipstamps. This shows us it is possible it was not the British producer who made them. So who made them?
I suspect one of the Eastern European producers or possibly the Russian producer topnimarka. Until the people who have the power (namely the countries within the U.P.U.) fully investigate the origins they will continue to produce and sell these counterfeits forever!

I found this one offered on Delcampe in this form. It is most certainly from similar souvenir sheets as above and below. I could not find them in souvenir sheet form being offered though at present times. It is obvious by the inscriptions they are from the same source and is probable that it belongs with the counterfeit souvenir sheet below.

In searching for the illegal stamps a year ago I found these all were being sold in bulk lots by the notorious illegal stamp selling user mapka666 on eBay (mapka on other venues) based in Russia showing that there are tons of them out there. Sells real stamps and illegal stamps with impunity. Should have been shut down long ago. Now a big dealer from all the rip offs he has done.
