Information and Reference of Illegal Stamps for Burundi Dating 2022

In 2022 Stamperija gains a new contract to print stamps in the name of Burundi. Sadly, we see the abuse start again with a new mass of abusive stamps being produced. You have to ask, why a country that is at a poverty level and has conservatively had stamp issues produced since the Stamperija/Impressor debacle ending in 2016, all of a sudden needs a new mass number produced for the country. As of April 2022, according to the Colnect catalog, a massive series on the topic of animals is already listed containing souvenir sheets of 2 where one stamp is imperforate on three sides (completely useless as a viable stamp used for postage) totalling 48 different stamps and another batch on the same topic of single stamps produced in panes of 10 totalling another 96 more different stamps!

In further research viewing the Stamperija website itself an even more massive production is underway of "stamps" not listed on Colnect yet. A huge series on famous paintings in souvenir sheets of 4 in exact same format and style as many illegal stamps of the past. Another massive production of souvenir sheets of 2 on the same topic. Also more panes of 10 on the first topic of animals made with different images of the animals from the first series. All in all, already hundreds more different "stamps" made in the name of Burundi by this abusive agent that will flood the online venues in the coming months. People need to wake up and avoid this garbage like the plague when it appears. Countries that allow this abuse and which sanction them as "authorized" even though the majority of them never see the light of day in the country and can only be purchased on the abusive agents website, should be reprimanded and in cases like this, investigated by the UPU for violations of their own rules and ethics and face expulsion from the UPU. These countries only allow this because of greed within the postal administration itself in obtaining what is actually an extremely small portion of the profits that are made by these stamp dealer owned rouge stamp agencies that have absolutely no rules and ethics that have been set out by the UPU for stamp printing best practices.

Face it, these stamps which at present are being offered in general at $10.00 for the panes of 10 and $4.00 for the souvenir sheets will not be worth 50 cents in the same exact forms in the very near future. Proven by thousands of sales of these same issues from the recent past produced by agencies like this. I can see tons of sales offering whole pane and souvenir sets that originally sold for even more at the time of production being offered for 50 cents or a dollar and not even selling at that!

Yet the dumb catalog editors continue to list them as if they have some sort of value. Breaking their own code of ethics and rules which were originally designed not to allow listing of "stamps" that are produced in this way. Obviously being listed due to kick backs and bribes to corrupt editors within those catalogs editing departments. Thus, now making virtually all stamp catalogs including the Scott catalogs unreliable sources to go by. I say this mainly because they do not show the real status of how the stamps are produced as in excess of postal needs and they do not reflect the true value of this garbage as its value deteriorates over a short period of time. Instead maintaining over inflated pricing so as not to reveal that investing in them is a really bad idea.

In 2022 topnimarka (so far) dominates the illegal stamp productions in the name of Burundi.

To start, here are recommended sites to use for reference. As I stated, the WNS system is short and incomplete on what is real. The stamps that are shown should be researched further before you buy them.

Many of the following illegal stamps can be found as imperforates and as color proof sets as well. Many exist on fake First Day Covers too.
Most times now (2022) the souvenir sheet sets and sheetlet sets are sold individually. Many times the stamps have been removed from the sheetlets and souvenir sheets. All of these "tactics" are used to avoid detection by experts and savvy collectors.

Sellers that call these "private", "locals", "Cinderella's", "unauthorized" are deceiving you. They are illegal stamps produced by a stamp dealer that is bent on ripping you off! Some sellers state "we offer them because they are on the market". Well how about you use a different dealer because that seller is "on the market"? If the stamp societies, auction sites and all other venues kicked these sellers off of their sites then they would have to comply or lose their ability to sell anything.

The following images are free for the use of all to use to alert the public to them. If anyone wants to make a public list of users on eBay, Delcampe and elsewhere who are selling these issues....fine by me since the UPU, PWMO and others appear to have given up or have not been updated in years.

If you have purchased any of these stamps from a dealer or if that dealer offers them, you should avoid that dealer! You will only be supporting illegal stamp makers who are only ripping you off.

In 2021 the pandemic causes chaos among all the counterfeit producers. Most shut down new productions due to covid and the lock downs. Still some did not. The British producer continued with production of Chad and Madagascar counterfeits. When I was researching the problem for 2021 issues topnimarka had made a couple counterfeit sets at the beginning of 2021 and then suddenly stopped. Later, in 2022, I checked back on the research as those couple sets were the only sets offered on the criminal website and to our disappointment, we can see the criminal has started productions again.

What is interesting is the fact the criminal as of April 2022 has produced numerous sets and back dated them to 2020 and 2021. These counterfeit stamp sets were not on the site all through 2021 and only recently were added in 2022. The criminal is obviously back filling the huge gap created because of the pandemic.

Production appears to have resumed in 2022. It may stop again due to the major sanctions placed on Russia. Maybe it will even destroy the criminals ability all together! That is doubtful though as criminals like this never go away as we can see with the British producer, Eastern European producers and the distributors they use and have used for decades.

As of April 2022, the Russian based company has produced the following counterfeit illegal stamps dating 2022 in the name of Burundi. They are not commonly seen on the main stamp market because we are fighting for you to keep them off the main market. Should this company be allowed to run accounts on the main stamp venues like eBay and Delcampe, you will see a new flood of illegal stamps worse than ever seen before. This company is consistently trying to create new accounts on the venues to move them into the main stream market. Should you see them on sites like eBay and Delcampe, you can report them to me and I can assure you that they will not be there long!

Topnimarka has produced 16 different sets dating 2022 so far as of April. More could and probably will be made at any time. Avoid them all!
