Or use a respectable catalog like Scott or Stanley Gibbons. Do not listen to these dealers trying to convince you they are something other than illegal stamps.

Here we go!

Many of the following illegal stamps can be found as imperforates and as color proof sets as well. Some exist on fake First Day Covers too.
Many times now (2021) the souvenir sheet sets and sheetlet sets are sold individually. Many times the stamps have been removed from the sheetlets and souvenir sheets. All of these "tactics" are used to avoid detection by UPU circular descriptions and researchers like myself.

Sellers that call these "private", "locals", "Cinderella's", "unauthorized" are deceiving you. They are counterfeit illegal stamps produced by a stamp dealer that is bent on ripping you off! Some sellers state "we offer them because they are on the market". Well how about you use a different dealer because that seller is "on the market"? If the stamp societies, auction sites and all other venues kicked these sellers off of their sites then they would have to comply or lose their ability to sell anything.

The following images are free for the use of all to use to alert the public to them. If anyone wants to make a public list of users on eBay, Delcampe and elsewhere who are selling these issues....fine by me since the UPU, PWMO and others appear to have given up or have not been updated in years.

If you have purchased any of these stamps from a dealer or if that dealer offers them, you should avoid that dealer! You will only be supporting illegal stamp makers who are only ripping you off.

2008

It appears all was quiet in regards to illegal stamps being produced in the name of Angola between 2005 and 2007. In general searches I could find nothing out of the ordinary. Then, suddenly another appears in searches for 2008 issues. One of the Eastern European producers begins.

At present, this is all I could find dating 2008.

2009

In 2009 the Eastern European producer creates another set in the name of Angola. This one being on the topic of Leopards.

This one is an odd one. On the Avion Stamps website the dealer lists two Tiger Woods "Grand Slam" souvenir sheets of 9 as being produced in 2009. As is usual, the images are lousy so you cannot see if there is even a year inscribed on the stamps. This dealer known as rogerpo99 is the only dealer offering these on his website and on Hipstamps.

This could have been a final attempt by the British producers to "make a comeback" in 2009. Or...these two sheets were actually produced in 2000 to correspond with the Grand Slammer set of counterfeit souvenir sheets of 3 produced at that time and inscribed with the year. The titles "Grand Slam" giving us a clue. Since this dealer is one of the main distributors of the British produced illegal stamps and for the fact that the database used was established by this dealer and Clive Feigenbaum's Stampdile website when this all happened, I list them according to their data.

Let it be understood though that I personally am going with these souvenir sheets being produced in 2000. The reason being this dealer has another sheet featuring Ferrari Formula I Drivers that his site is stating was made in 2010 and he lists it on Hipstamps as such. That particular sheet was made in 2000 and it is proven with the First Day cover! See the Angola 2000 Illegal Stamps page to see it. Since this guy is constantly watching this site....maybe he will change it. As it is now, these two sheets can only be found in a search for "Angola 2009".

The production of illegal stamps in the name of Angola by the Eastern European producer continues in 2010.
