Information and Reference of illegal stamp sellers according to U.P.U. Circulars
The following lists have user names of sellers who are online selling illegal stamps as of September 18, 2016. I am creating these lists
because there appears to be no updating of the lists generated by the Philatelic Webmasters Organization since 2012. The problem is now
extremely bad. Online sales on eBay, Delcampe, Amazon, ebid, and others are being completely ignored and they are allowing thousands of lots of these illegal stamps
to be offered and sold to you, the collector. They are not enforcing their own stated policies in regards to these illegal stamps.
According to the UPU, "an illegal stamp is one that carries the name of a legitimate country or territory, but was not produced
or printed by the postal administration of that country, and is not valid for postage anywhere in the world."
Many of these sellers use deceptive wording to avoid detection. They call them "Private Issue", "Cinderellas", "Locals" or "Labels".
They are none of these. Some avoid putting the year of issue. Some won't even use the countries name in their listings. The lists
below are not complete by any means. The names listed are those who came up on one simple search showing just how big the problem is now.
Illegal Stamps are created and produced by stamp dealers and others that have had nothing to do with the country named on the stamp and were
never authorized by the postal system of that country to produce them! You might as well get a magazine and cut out the pretty pictures
and stick those in your album and write a country name and value on them with a pen. That is what they are worth!
Illegal stamps are bogus in nature and as far as I and many others are concerned they should not be placed in any catagory on auction
sites at all! By allowing them access to collectors in any form at all is showing disrespect to the country that has been plagued with
them, the U.P.U. and most of all to the stamp collecting community as a whole. Online sites are only helping and enabling the criminals who
create them and are therefore more at fault than the criminals that produce and sell them simply because they will not enforce their own
stated standards and rules.
The sellers listed here will be deleted from the list only when the owners/publishers will give concrete proofs that they have changed
their policies in the domain of selling illegal stamps online. The same goes for the sites that host them.
These lists are generated by simply searching for "Benin" in the "Stamps" category and using the U.P.U. Circular no. 30 to compare with
lots being sold online. It is such a simple task to do yet these sites seem not to want to do it thus they are breaking their own rules
namely because of profits. Some of these dealers are the biggest on the site. If you want to help stop the flow of illegal stamps then as a buyer,
let them know you know they sell illegal stamps and are therefore untrustworthy by not buying anything from them until they stop. Let the
sites know that you are offended by their greed and may deter from buying anything on their site because they allow such practices
to be done on what they wish to portray as a credible selling venue.
After completing the Madagascar section several prominent sellers of illegal stamps on eBay for this country have come up on the searches.
They have been added as of December 8, 2016.
Auction sites that host these sellers on this list should go through every one of their lots and delete their lots if they contain illegal stamps.
If they are offering hundreds then shut them down completely until they remove and refrain from offering them. Large volume sellers of illegal stamps
need to have an eye kept on them afterwards as well because some will attempt to get them on again. Noting several are appearing on more than
one site. As explained above it is a simple task to find
them. It took me one hour to generate the eBay list using Benin as a search term. There are many others that can be found using topical terms and
other means. These are generated from the U.S. site. There are sellers that will not show there if they do not offer worldwide shipping. Therefore
other country sites have some users not listed here. How about cleaning up all of your sites eBay, Delcampe, ebid, Amazon, and others? Are you
that desparate for money that you are willing to turn a blind eye and allow these sellers who really do not produce even a drop in the bucket
of your overall profits and only tarnish your reputation as a trustworthy site to buy and sell stamps on?
EBAY SELLERS OF ILLEGAL STAMPS
Ebay is hosting approximately 3,000 illegal stamp lots just for Benin alone on the U.S. site as of September 2016!!!!
DELCAMPE SELLERS OF ILLEGAL STAMPS
Delcampe is hosting approximately 4,000 illegal stamp lots just for Benin alone on your site as of September 2016!!!!
Out of that 4,000 lots only 24 lots listed under your "Fantasy Labels" category which as I stated earlier should not even
be allowed as a catagory. They are not "Fantasy Labels"...they are "Illegal Stamps" and are therefore illegal
to sell anywhere!!!
EBID SELLERS OF ILLEGAL STAMPS

The majority being offered by just one user! Is he worth your sites reputation???

The majority being offered by just one user! Is he worth your sites reputation??? Look in your Toys and Games section...that is
where he is "hiding".
