Information and Reference of illegal stamps dating 2017 in the name of Eritrea

Eritrea has always been a very conservative stamp issuing entity. In 2017 Eritrea did not issue any stamps and has not issued any more through 2021.

To find out what stamps are real and legitimate for Eritrea you can visit the following online catalogs. I found that Eritrea listed their 2002 and 2003 stamp issues in the UPU's WNS system but then stopped so it is not a good resource to verify genuine stamps from to present day stamps.

Many of the following illegal stamps can be found as imperforates and as color proof sets as well. Many exist on fake First Day Covers too.
Most times now (2021) the souvenir sheet sets and sheetlet sets are sold individually. Many times the stamps have been removed from the sheetlets and souvenir sheets. All of these "tactics" are used to avoid detection by UPU circular descriptions.

Sellers that call these "private", "locals", "Cinderella's", "unauthorized" are deceiving you. They are counterfeit illegal stamps produced by a stamp dealer that is bent on ripping you off! Some sellers state "we offer them because they are on the market". Well how about you use a different dealer because that seller is "on the market"? If the stamp societies, auction sites and all other venues kicked these sellers off of their sites then they would have to comply or lose their ability to sell anything.

The following images are free for the use of all to use to alert the public to them. If anyone wants to make a public list of users on eBay, Delcampe and elsewhere who are selling these issues....fine by me since the UPU, PWMO and others appear to have given up or have not been updated in years.

If you have purchased any of these stamps from a dealer or if that dealer offers them, you should avoid that dealer! You will only be supporting illegal stamp makers who are only ripping you off.

2017

Since the Topnimarka fiasco of 2014 counterfeit illegal stamps, no more illegal stamps were produced until 2017. In 2017 it is not known exactly who produced the following counterfeits except that the topics like the Pin Ups points directly at the previous counterfeit producer back in the early 2000's which is the British producer.

In 2005 it appears the Eastern European producer and his criminal distributors decided to try their hand at ripping off collectors. They produced two sets in 2005 on the topics of the Pope and dinosaurs. Now in 2021 some of the same criminal dealers continue to sell these counterfeits showing us there is an endless supply of them after 16 years!

Let us see who is currently (July 2021) selling this garbage on the main stamp venues with mainly a simple search for "eritrea 2017".

We can see that most of the sellers are located in Eastern Europe and such which points away from the counterfeits being produced on the British side. Yet the topics relate in similar fashion to the British produced counterfeits in the name of Eritrea made in the early 2000's. Either the Eastern European producers are being "copycats" or there is some sort of collaboration between them. Whatever it is, the following counterfeit illegal stamps should be avoided and the dealers named (many are named over and over again showing them to be rotten to the core) should be shunned by all either because they are intentionally ripping you off or are too ignorant to trust as a stamp dealer, the former being the case with most of them.

Since this last attack on the stamp market by these criminals it appears no more illegal stamps have been made in the name of Eritrea. This does not means these freaks won't do it again. As long as the UPU and the countries who are members continue to ignore the problem these criminal producers and their distributors will continue to wreak havoc on the stamp market. Only the countries can take full legal action against these criminal producers and dealers. Therefore the countries need to unite and upgrade the rules and regulations within the UPU and enforce them by taking legal actions against the criminals who deal in the illegal stamp trade.

Illegal stamps are counterfeit stamps and so any stamp dealer or collector who tries to redefine them as something else like "Cinderella" or "Local Issue" and so forth is only one who is deceiving you into buying counterfeit goods. Counterfeit stamps are counterfeit goods and the sale of them is illegal in any country just like any counterfeit product such as Gucci Bags and so forth. Therefore we can remove these criminal dealers from the online selling platforms at will. Legal action can also be taken against any stamp dealer or collector who is selling them. The evidence is permanently online that can be used in any court of law in any country to weed out these criminals. The countries that are being effected just need to do their job and file charges on these criminals where they live. Don't think for a minute they cannot! This is why it is best to avoid buying anything from dealers and collectors who sell counterfeit illegal stamps. They may get you involved in something you really don't want to be involved with which is dealing with the dark side of philately. You might just get yourself into trouble that you cannot handle.
